When we decide to walk a spiritual path, we are embracing a certain way of life, a specific set of values, or a particular worldview. For Christians, we choose to follow Jesus, to conform our lives to his teachings. This intentional commitment begins with Baptism, a sacrament by which we are initiated into membership in the mystical Body of Christ, the Church. Spiritually speaking, Baptism is more than just a happy ceremony: it marks us as belonging to Christ, forever. The Christian spiritual journey begins with Baptism and continues for the rest of our lives.
