They originated with Jesus’ words and actions, but historically accumulated additional symbols and gestures which people found helpful in making Jesus’ presence felt. Through the sacraments we invite Jesus into our personal lives by celebrating with other Christians what we are, and what we hope to become in him. It is a privilege to have people who will celebrate these sacred mysteries with us”.
