Did you know? (Sunday, September 21, 2025)
Human beings are not self-sufficient. We need relationship to God, to others, and to nature. Jesus, when asked to sum up the Law, sums it up not simply in terms of love of God but love of neighbour as well. Genesis 2:18 tells us that God saw it was not good for [the] human creature to be alone. The story then goes on to express relationship to nature (garden, animals) as well as with other humans. Shalom is the possibility of harmonious relationship with every person and with nature. We are not only created as stewards of God to experience the goodness of creation, but we are created to be in community with all creation.
