Communion anticipate a common hope for the future. The story of Jesus’ ministry provides hope for a world that lives in God’s love. It gives a hope that the world can be saved and will be saved through God’s actions among people. The world, God affirms through Jesus, is worth saving and is worth all of God’s effort to bring this salvation to fruition.
