Did you know? (Sunday, October 29, 2023)

The Anglican church recognizes three ordained ministries: bishops, priests, and deacons. Bishops are the highest-ranking clergy members and are responsible for overseeing a geographic region known as a diocese. They are responsible for the spiritual and administrative leadership of the churches within their diocese. Priests, also known as presbyters, are ordained to assist the bishops in the administration of the sacraments, preaching, and pastoral care. They are often the leaders of individual congregations. Deacons, on the other hand, are ordained to serve the church and community in a unique way. They focus on acts of charity and ministry to the marginalized, often assisting in worship services and bringing the needs of the world to the church’s attention.
