Did you know? (Sunday, March 6, 2022)
Much focus is given to prayer in Lent. Prayer has always been a daily practice for Christians. The prayer that Jesus gave us, known as “the Lord’s Prayer”, presents us a guide as to what we are to talk to God about. The prayer is to be found in Matthew 6:9-13 and in Luke 11:2-4. In our prayers, we should 1) acknowledge God as our caring parent, we should ask 2) that God be reverenced by everyone, 3) that God’s desire for the world be fulfilled, 4) that God provide for our needs, 5) that God help us to have good relationships, and 6) that God guard us in the face of evil.
