The word “vocation” is from a Latin word vocare that means “calling.” It speaks to the broad calling of an individual, how one responds to and lives out one’s relationship with Christ and others. Often, Christian vocation is spoken of in terms of mission and ministry. However, at its essence, it concerns our being and doing what God wants us to be and do, individually and as a community.
