Our church believes in the ministry of healing and anointing! The anointing of the sick is also known as Unction. It is one of the seven Sacraments of the church. When we observe Jesus’ ministry of constant concern and care for the sick, we notice that God desires the wellbeing of humanity. This ministry is so important in our tradition, it is given a separate service in our Prayer Book – the “Ministry to the Sick” (BCP, pg 342-360).
