The Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands has a policy on the Environment. The policy is based on Resolution #7, agreed by the 142nd Annual Synod 2012 which states that “the Bishop should establish a Diocesan Environmental Committee to work with the churches to formulate policies and guidelines for the use of renewable energy, the conservation of water, the protection of church environs and the sensitizing of congregations to our environmental stewardship responsibilities”.
