Did you know? (Sunday, January 30, 2022)

Every year, since 2005, the United Nations designated January 27th International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The day is set aside to mark the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Nazism, and to develop educational programs to help prevent future genocides. The theme for this year’s commemoration was “Memory, Dignity, and Justice.” It sought to explore how preserving the historical record and challenging distortion are elements of claiming justice.
